Morphological characteristics

Woody vine, leaves are leathery, opposite, flowers are purple-red, large and beautiful, several flowers are arranged in terminal cymes, corolla is funnel-shaped, with 5 lobes, scales of the corona are cone-pointed, entire or 2-lobed.

Distribution

Eucalyptus vine is native to southwestern Madagascar and is now widely distributed in warm countries such as Egypt, and has been introduced for cultivation in other tropical regions.

Main Value

The latex secreted by eucalyptus vine plants can be used to extract rubber. At the same time, eucalyptus vines have the function of preventing wind and stabilizing sand, and can change the sandy environment to facilitate the growth of other plants.
